STEP Guernsey is one of the most active branches of STEP Worldwide and committed to continual professional development to our members. We hold at least two lectures each month during the academic year aimed at all levels of our membership and are proud to attract some of the most experienced professionals from all over the world to present.  The lecture programme is thoughtfully put together by our lecture subcommittee who are skilled in securing a wide range of speakers on a variety of topics. 

Throughout the pandemic STEP Guernsey adapted successfully to offer both online and in-person events, with both the 2020 and 2021 conferences being the only STEP conferences worldwide to take place in-person and at full capacity.  We also offered a popular webinar series which was utilised by members from all over the world. 

We hold two main flagship events - our Annual Ball held in early Autumn is attended by over 400 professionals. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the finance calendar and each year our social subcommittee create a splendid night of entertainment centred around a unique theme to celebrate those dedicated to the local trust industry. 
Our annual conference held each June is always well attended and comprises a full day of topical presentations from industry leaders from around the globe. Never have we been more connected with overseas professionals who are able to share their experiences and lessons learnt with local members.  We are always grateful to those speakers who give their time to support our branch.
 
In addition the branch host a number of other social events throughout the year, including networking drinks parties and the popular 'Big Quiz', which is back for 2022.   

In order to properly support consultation responses and opinion, early in 2017 STEP formed a joint Technical Committee with the Guernsey Association of Trustees to focus on regulatory consultations and proposed amendments. They have submitted responses to a number of these on behalf of the fiduciary industry such as the Enforcement engagement and the GFSC Handbook.

The Branch Committee maintain close relations with other professional associations as well as pan-industry forums such as the Guernsey Association of Trustees and the Guernsey international Business Association.

Our committee members bring a shared wealth of knowledge and experience to the Association. In June 2020 Rupert Morris took the helm as Chair of STEP Guernsey, Greta Pender is Deputy Chair and Ben Rhodes remains as Treasurer.  Andy Niles is the Branch Secretary.
