STEP Guernsey are an active branch of STEP Worldwide and committed to continual professional development to our members. We hold two lectures each month during the academic year aimed at all levels of our membership, including the ever popular Life-Cycle of a Trust series for the newer members of our industry. Our annual conference is always well attended and comprises a full day of topical presentations from industry leaders from both on- and off-Island.

We are firm supporters of the excellent work of the Guernsey Training Agency, to which end the Branch has provided significant funding toward the development of their library facility, which may be enjoyed free of charge by our Branch members. We also know how to let our hair down and enjoy our annual summer dinner-dance.

Our Technical Sub-Committee reviews and provides input on all relevant new legislation, such as the Trust (Guernsey) Law, 2007, the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 as well as updates of the AML/CFT Handbook. Indeed, the Sub-Committee’s chairman, Advocate Russell Clark TEP, was closely involved in the development of the Foundations (Guernsey) Law, 2012.

The Branch Committee maintain close relations with other professional associations as well as pan-industry forums such as the Guernsey Association of Trustees, the Guernsey Fiduciary Forum and the Guernsey Fiduciary Education Forum.

To become a Full STEP Member you can apply through our Diploma Route or Qualified Practitioner Route and further course details and CPD information can be found on the STEP Guernsey website here:
